What is Vedic Astrology?

The word 'VEDA' comes from the Sanskrit language literally meaning 'knowledge' or 'wisdom'.

VEDIC ASTROLOGY, otherwise known as 'JYOTISH', the 'SCIENCE OF LIGHT', is the ancient yet timeless science of understanding the fundamental relationship between man and the universal cosmos - it is in fact, the origin of all other astrological systems.

At the time of our birth the heavenly sphere's, we call planets, occupy different sectors in the sky. Their position and interplay at that precise moment create what is known as our KARMIC BLUEPRINT, or HOROSCOPE. This 'birthchart ' is the key to understanding not only our inherently individual nature, but also reveals very valuable insights into what we can expect to experience throughout our lifetime.

Provided with the appropriate details of time, date and place of birth, a competent astrologer can accurately assess the strengths and weaknesses within a person's chart, and, equally as important, prescribe the relevant measures and remedies to enhance the positive areas whilst reducing the negative aspects.
